I was recently commissioned to photograph Luca Buraglio – a very talented pianist – to help promote his talent. I used a soft box with honeycomb to direct a subtle light and backlit his hands to create a silhouette style photograph. The aim was for us to create classic, smart photographs for album covers and business cards. This is shown in the striking black and white photographs and the creative lighting which resulted in a reflection on the inside of the piano lid – the favourite of the shoot. You can see Luca play at Sopwell House every Sunday during the Afternoon Tea service.
2017 is turning out to be quite the year for travel! First, I ventured out to Bulgaria for the amazing snow on a skiing holiday and in April, James & I flew to Iceland in search of an adventure. We had both been to Iceland before & wanted to explore different places together. James took his DJI Phantom 4+ drone with him and created an amazing video of our journey – see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQwTkCIQoiE On Easter Sunday, we arrived at 8:30am, collected our rental car and set off to make the most of the sun & beautiful landscapes. Our final destination was Jökulsárlón with many stops along the way. The map…
I am very excited to share these images today! I was looking for fresh ideas to bring to my weddings this year and I have always loved light painting. With the help of my Sister & Brother-in-law, I created these amazing images and I am looking forward to using these techniques to create something different for my couples! I have also been light painting with Sparklers and perfecting that style.
Samantha and James joined together with their friends and family on a beautiful spring day in March. They said their vows in the secret garden – the first outside ceremony of the year for the venue – Selsdon Park Hotel, Croydon. We had stunning scenery and golden light for their couple portraits and fun after dark with sparklers and friends. Here are their sneak peaks, their full collection is to come.
Darryl and David married in a winter wonderland at Crowhurst Park surrounded by friends and family. They used candles, mistletoe and pinecones to decorate as well as christmas trees to give the venue the festive feel. Check out their sneak peaks!

This September, I set of for my first holiday in Spain with my boyfriend and his lovely family to the quiet area of Salobreña. We stayed in the most idyllic mountain side villa complete with panoramic sea views, palm trees & a beautiful swimming pool – match this with the perfect weather, great food and company and it is safe to say I didn’t want to leave! We explored surrounding areas, enjoyed the Spanish culture and their siestas & spent the week between the pool and sunbathing with a good book – Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham – highly recommended! Here are a few select photos from the trip.
I met Chloe & Matt in our little village of Ashwell, Hertfordshire on a beautiful Saturday evening for their engagement shoot. We visited the Ashwell Springs, took a stroll around the fields where we found a fantastic view of the surrounding areas & discovered quirky little gateways all whilst the sun was setting. Chloe & Matt are marrying in the Old Hall, Ely in June 2017 and had their complimentary engagement shoot as part of my Platinum package. We had so much fun & laughter on the shoot and I can’t wait to see them marry next year.

In the stunning grounds of Blenheim Palace, Countryfile Live opened its doors for the first time. With the presenters of the television show, wildlife areas, farming areas & hundreds of stalls selling all different types of gifts, there certainly was plenty to do! There was a photography section with a camera tower to view the show & the palace from a hight and a little tent that took be back to second year at university experimenting with camera obscurers – funnily enough, the man running the camera obscurer sold the mechanisms to my university, small world! I would highly recommend the show to anyone looking for a fun family day…
